Careful about who gets in, and about what is kept.
Every agency checked by a person
- You register your agency We confirm your email address, then email you to say your registration has arrived.
- We check it Against Companies House and its redress scheme membership, where it has them.
- A person approves it Approved Before it goes live. Usually within a working day.
- We email you either way Once approved, your first Agency admin is invited to sign in.
- Invitation only
- Agents are invited by their agency, buyers and sellers by their agent, and conveyancers by an agent on the property. Nobody can give themselves an account.
- No passwords
- A code sent to your email each time, plus an authenticator app for anyone who can change a property.
- A record of every change
- Every meaningful change is logged against the person who made it, and no one using ChainSight can edit or delete an entry: the database itself refuses. Two things are removed by design: sign-in attempts after 30 days, and a person’s name, email and phone when their account is deleted.
- Only what it needs
- ChainSight tracks milestone status, never legal documents, identity verification data or financial account details. Read our privacy policy.
- Leave whenever you like
- Anyone can ask for their account to be deleted, by email, at any time, and it is usually done within 30 days. What is removed and what is kept, and the exceptions, are set out on a public page.
- A registered UK company
- Run by Emmelle Studios Ltd, registered in England and Wales and with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ZC258573).
Everyone sees the chain, at the depth that is theirs to see.
You learn what you need about the chain without learning another agency’s client list.
| Detail | Your property | Linked to yours | Further along |
|---|---|---|---|
| Address | In full | Postcode only | Not shown |
| Agency | Yours | Agency and branch, with phone numbers | Agency name |
| Agent | You | Name and email | Not shown |
| Progress | Every milestone | Progress as a percentage, and every milestone if they choose to share | Progress as a percentage |
Buyers and sellers see their own sale
Invited by you, one property at a time. They see where their sale has got to, every milestone with a plain description of what it means and who usually does it, and who is handling it for them. They never see the names of the people buying and selling elsewhere in the chain.
Sharing more is your choice
By default the agent next to you sees a progress percentage. Turn on milestone sharing for a property and they can see the detail, while the link stays in place. Each side decides for itself.
Who can see my clients’ details?
Your buyers and sellers are never named to other agencies, or to the other buyers and sellers in the chain. Agents on linked properties see your property’s postcode rather than its full address, and properties further along are shown only as progress and the agency handling them.
Give your clients a clearer view of their chain.
Every agency is checked and approved by a person before it goes live, usually within a working day. Your first 5 credits are free.
